Ladies' Retreat Part 3 (Really just an excuse to put more pictures of my grandbabies on the blog!)

If anyone else would ever post to this blog you could see your own kids and grandkids. As it is, you'll just have to look at mine!!!

Ladies' Retreat Pictures Part 2

I still haven't figured out how to post as many pictures as I want to one blog. So here's some more!

Ladies Retreat '06

We had a lot of fun at the retreat last week-end!! We missed Vickie, Jenni, Amy & Megan. I guess being 9 months pregnant or having just gotten married are pretty good reasons to miss. Not that Vickie and Jenni don't have good reasons, too! ha

It was really relaxed at Louise's. She seemed to really enjoy having everyone there and everyone that was there seemed to enjoy being there.

We did something a little different this year. We had a devotional Sunday morning instead of going to worship services somewhere. I think everyone really enjoyed it. Nancy and Barbara came up with most of it, so I vote that they do that every year!!

We had an age range of 6 months (Samuel) to 90 years (Aunt Amy). I think that's pretty special.

Cindy had a senior moment and volunteered to have it at her house next year. I don't think she got much sleep that night!!

Love you all!! Debbie

Pumpkin Carving

Cody brought pumpkins over Friday night for the "kids" to carve. The "kids" had a great time carving them! They saved the seeds and Jennifer roasted them. They were pretty good. We had a fire in our outdoor fireplace and we all had fun. It's really nice getting the whole family together like that. That doesn't happen often enough.

Pumpkin Carving Part 2

As usual, I can only get 5 pictures to download. Can't figure out what in the world I'm doing wrong. Mandy, do you have any idea?
Anyway, the kids all spent the night with us (including Cody) and they had a great time. The last picture is of Papa right before mom and dad came to get Gracie and Nathan!

Zoo Pictures - Part 2

I really need lessons on how to use this thing. I can't figure out how to make it publish all the pictures I want. Oh well....

Our Afternoon at the Zoo

Cody and I took Andy to the zoo this afternoon. It was an absolutely perfect day for it. He was a little scared at first...we started with the apes....but he got into it before long.
His favorite part, of course, was the train ride. I'll have to admit that was my favorite part, too. The souvenir he wanted was an engine.
We were all worn out after 2 1/2 hours, but I don't think Cody or I were as tired as Andy!!

Super Target 2145 is now open!

After a month a hardwork, the store finally opened today! I can't hardly believe it either. It has been a very long and stressful month, but all that is finally over. YEA!

We opened our doors at 5pm today to the public, and I, along with several other of my friends stationed ourselves on the toy aisle just before the doors opened. We did this so we could get a kick out of the 40 year old children sprinting down the aisle to get to the infamous 10th Anniversary Tickle Me Elmo endcap! People are crazy....AND I HOPE NONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS WOULD HAVE TO BE CATEGORIZED IN THAT GROUP OF PEOPLE!!!!! I was standing in the aisle waiting for the doors to be opened when my friend told me to watch out. I moved just in time to miss being trampled on! They tore down the header trying to get their red doll, and the endcap was gone within a minute.

Here are some pics from not only today, but of the past month getting it ready for today! Hope you enjoy! Love and Miss You All!!!!!!! And yes, incase you are wondering that's me in the box! :)

Grace's First Soccer Game

I thought it was about time for someone to put something new up, so here goes. We went to Grace's first soccer game yesterday. They are the "Ladybugs". Grace looked so cute in her uniform, but I'm not sure she was too thrilled with the game. I don't think she's much into running and sweating. It was so funny because the ball would be on the field with 3 or 4 little girls around it and it was like "Kick it." "No, you go ahead and kick it." "No, please, be my guest, kick it." Then when it did get kicked it was usually in the wrong direction.

The edge of your seat game ended with a score of zip to zip. But it was fun!!

By the way, I have no idea why Grace's picture wound up on here twice. I know I only clicked it once. One of these days I'm gonna figure this computer out!

Love ya'll, Debbie

Our Trip to Boston

Our trip was awesome! It was such a great break from the 100+ weather here in Texas. It was anywhere from the 70's-80's!!! We went to a Red Sox game, which was really cool. The weekend ended too fast and we had to come home. I hope everyone is doing well!
